Ok, since this was a non-local issue, I deleted the content/question.
However, since I can't totally delete the thread, I do want to say that I'm enjoying the experience after installing Raku on bare-metal. I'm in the configuration phase of the love-affair :0 getting it adapted to being at least temporarily a daily driver to see if I find any issues. So far everything has gone swimmingly.
