How safe is it to switch DEs?

Hello everyone, im new to raku os just installed it yesterday on my brand new laptop (great work btw its like my dream os) but i have been wondering, i installed the gnome version but lets say 1 year down the line when cosmic has HDR support.. how safe is it to switch to another DE without reinstalling by just rebasing? (bonus question, but is there a possibility for this distro to be abandoned? its wonderful but i want to have peace of mind)

I haven't personally rebased to a different desktop environment yet, but that is the beauty of RakuOS's atomic structure—rebasing is inherently safe, clean, and easily reversible if something doesn't work out.

As for the project being abandoned, I really wouldn't worry. The rapid growth, contributor momentum, and community support speak for themselves. RakuOS honestly feels like a glimpse into the future of Linux, so you can definitely enjoy that peace of mind!
