Our stance on age mandates in general, and more specifically H.R. 8250:
RakuOS opposes invasive age-verification and age-attestation mandates. If these laws move forward, we will implement the absolute bare minimum in the most privacy-respecting way possible.

⚠️ Notice: Even though we consider the current release of RakuOS stable, RakuOS is still an early project, bugs are to be expected, and a proper bug tracker / submission flow is coming soon. This site is still under construction, and some pages and features may not be fully functional yet.

System updates failing with defaults because it's searching for a release tag of LATEST. The MAIN tag is not currently tagged as LATEST. Just thought I would let you know. After intial install system updates would fail giving invalid tag errors.

Try running sudo bootc switch registry.gitlab.com/rakuos/images/rakuos-gnome:latest.20260429 as thats the latest or registry.gitlab.com/rakuos/images/rakuos-gnome:latest getting ready to release the Fedora 44 based release currently in staging in couple days hopefully which contains quite abit of updates in regards to the overlay and update checking. I will que a build up on the current 43 base to back port those fixes and let ya know the tag

Will do. I'm going to wipe and do a clean install from ISO just so that I can do a proper test. @Tohur what you have done here is pretty cool. I look forward to the future of Rakuos. Cheers.

Thank You it still early on so it expected to have these weird bugs. And truthfully GNOME hasn't gotten the same focus I have put on KDE as of yet which in staging I have started to as just implmented manging GNOME Shell extentions in the Software center

Thanks. I switched and the overlay was missing post reboot. I tried a soft rebuild and still no go. Applications were listed in CLI (rakuos list) but were not availible in gnome. I'll wait for 44 iso once the rebuild is done and give it another shot. Thanks!

Should be soon still waiting to hear from the sponsorship for iso hosting and get that finished and still got few things I am adding to the software center and this gives me time to test everything on all three images, but in the mean time you can try
sudo rakuos reset-overlay --confirm
to fully reset the overlay and rebuild it from the included inital overlay in the image as I suspect thats the issue as this build pulled in my overlay changes which the change from 43 to 44 that won't be an issue as the overlay detects the version change and wipes overlay and rebuilds from repos from the users modified packages.list to ensure a smooth tranistion so most users won't run into that once staging is merged into main. most current users also won't run into this since they aren't bootc switching on their own as the software center does bit more then just the bootc upgrade/switch to ensure it triggers the right response from the overlay system to rebuild the package database etc which I suspect with the bootc switch alone it did not
