after the transition is complete I will be offering a compatibility image and iso for people that can not run the cachyOS kernel because I do understand We are the only distro thats going this direction and people should be able to try it out. be sometime next few days or so because I need to redo the ISO build workflows for Gitlab and test them, but it will be in the next isos because I do need to put out a iso refresh to fix an edge case bug I helped someone through this morning

Mine doesn´t even install on old Dell Latitude Kaby Lake (KDE - AMD latest)
"job rakuos-overlay-sync.service/start running"
Running endless.
Two different Sticks, one DD flash, the other Fedora media writer.
Mine distro starts after installing but after first system-upgrade and reboot it stays at exacly the same process.

I have a fix coming with iso refreshes for laptops for intial boot. if you don't have ethernet pluged in, I forgot to include the default applications in the Live ISOs squash filesystem thus its trying to install the default packages from packages.list using rakuos install

Thanks, booting with ethernet.
"job rakuos-overlay-sync.service/start running" still needs a minute to start.
Hi Everyone! I'm new to this community. The issue I am running into with live mode boot is these errors:
" Failed to start rakuos-flatpaks.service" and " systemctl status rakuos-flatpaks.service" It just hangs as if in an infinite loop and never boots to desktop. Secure boot is disabled and everything dealing with it. At the moment I am running Fedora 43 as my daily driver. Any suggestions? I appreciate all feedback.

I have ISO refreshes coming soon which is fixing alot of the Live ISO issues. hopefully today or early in the AM, as soon as I get the ISO build pipelines fully working on Gitlab and uploading to sourceforge
ok just dropping here am changing how the Live Enviroment is mounted at boot so for one it should work using ventroy now and hopefully fix the issue where for some of you have it reboot on ya. Also I am pre-baking the inital package overlay right into the image should not require internet at all from install to first boot going forward once I test this and verfiy it does bake the overlay in at build time now. the only thing it should do now on boot the first time is just compare the images rpmdb to the overlays to be 100% sure they are in sync with each other so no weird things happen when trying to install your own packages into the overlay. hoping to have these new isos out in next few hours

I don't know why there is the same problem and on this new iso in virtualization it says there is no bootable drive ?
I tried it in gnome-boxes, in virt-manager, in virtualbox and it doesn't boot in all three.
Now I wonder it's maybe because I use Nobara Linux on PC ?
I mean honestly until I have clear cut errors I am just shooting in the dark , also after testing the ISOs are still not compatible with Ventroy like I was hoping so still leaving that off the download page on how to boot the iso so for now still write it directly to usb. going take more work to get it working on Ventroy. As soon as I get the last Cosmic iso up dropping the releaase annoucement and notes on whats changed

Also if push comes to shove you could try install a Fedora Atomic install first then use the rebase commands on the download page to the version you need/want of RakuOS. I mean because like I said unless I can get concrete errors or run into this myself which I am trying to reproduce but can't thus having real hard time tackling this and just shooting in the dark

Your Welcome You guys keep letting me know of issues so the OS can continue to improve, for now taking bit of a break today before hitting the grind again because I am far from where I want to be got some plans still for RakuOS going forward I want to implement. At some point today or tomorrow will be getting a proper Bug Tracker and submission up on the site to keep track of things better.

I try Nobara Linux and the CachyOS are booting with and without UEFI with no problem . So we can't blame the kernel.Did you install support for AMD and Intel processors which other distributions have ?
It installs both at build just like every Fedora based Bootc image. Your issue is so far uniqe to you because I have yet to have anyone else report a simular issue without tracking it down to something else and if they have had the issue they haven't reported it.I will be getting a bug tracker up soon maybe we can get more reports of this issue your having and we can start working towards a fix but until I have some kind of clear trace of whats happening its like shooting fish in a barrle blind folded. Try seeing if you can even rebase an Fedora Atomic install to RakuOS .. instructions are on the download page rakuos.org/download
